EARTHY GREEN BEDROOM USING MADE.COM PRODUCTS
I wouldn't normally style a whole scheme using only one retailer, but after seeing so many amazing new GREEN products from made.com I set myself a challenge to do just that.
It turned out is wasn’t actually much of a challenge due to the sheer amount of cool and covetable stuff on the site. It all started with a love for the Edwin bed, and the amazing rich racing green colour of the Elona wide chest of drawers.
I imagined these being part of a monochromatic relaxing green bedroom, but not in that typical ‘calming green’, 'your bedroom is your sanctuary' kind of way, but more in a rich, bold, vibrant and interesting way.
After scrolling through a ton of items on the website, this is my answer to an (sort of) affordable (depending on your budget, and it certainly is doable over time) yet extremely cool bedroom, with accents of pale pinks, greys and copper tones to keep it quite earthy.
The colour I’d use as an accent behind the bed is Farrow and Ball’s Green Smoke, which will add to the all surrounding feeling of this fabulous colour. I’d keep the other walls white or pale grey.
The total cost for everything in the scheme (excluding paint, just
stuff only) is £2,699.
What do you think? I know it’s strictly not monochromatic now due to the use of some pale pink and grey (probably more of a complementary scheme, well strictly strictly speaking, it's probably more of an adjacent colour scheme with a hint of complementary but who's getting technical?!) but would you go bold with lots of items in the same colour and similar tones?
