INTERIOR SCAMPS FOR MY KLC PROJECT WORK
Part of my Project 2 of the KLC open learning diploma involves a brief which asks us to decorate a room within our own home with no architectural or budget restrictions.
This has been such a great project to work on because it's really allowed me to think creatively about what I could achieve without the usual constraints. To be honest, the majority of furniture and finishes that I'm drawn to are usually quite pricey! So it's been a real challenge to edit all of the pieces that I love in terms of aesthetics and dimensions to be included in my living room.
Even though there's no budget as such, this project has encouraged me to evaluate each item and ask myself why I want to include it in my perfect room. What is it about each time that I love? It is the most practical sideboard? Is this the most striking tile? Is this the coolest looking AND most comfortable sofa? Do all of these products look good together in one room? To help with my choices I've put together these scamps so I can visualise how the items are going to look sat next to each other.
My favourite media at the moment are Tombow pens because the colours are so saturated, but I also like using Moloto metallic pens as well as water colours to make the image more interesting. For a more realistic look, my next task is to put the actual images of the products together creating a room set in Photoshop, and play about with the proportions.
